Every school takes its own path to school redesign because each school community is different. New Tech Network takes its role as a partner seriously and works with school leaders, teachers, and staff to ensure as smooth a process as possible. NTN District and School Development Coaches, and then School Coaches, are experts in the work and provide advice, strategies, and structures to avoid the predictable pitfalls and challenges that schools and districts face during the school redesign process
Implementation Workshops and Programs
In the path leading up to a Planning Agreement, New Tech Network offers a series of instructional workshops and programs that schools or districts can purchase outside of a contract in order to introduce their school community to the New Tech Network model fundamentals like project-based learning or the New Tech Learning Outcomes.
The Planning Agreement:
A year before a school or district has signed a long-term partnership agreement, NTN uses a Planning Agreement to create and implement a set of customized workshops and experiences for school leadership teams, staff, and teachers who are focused on readiness for project-based learning, building adult culture, and aligning district structures to learning goals across their system. A Planning Agreement allows school leaders, staff, and teachers to feel a sense of control and empowerment as they venture into challenging work. A proactive solution, districts who engage with NTN early find ways to diagnose challenges of implementation before they materialize in schools.
Year One
During the first year of implementation, NTN leads a set of events, virtual check-ins, coaching and administrative tasks for school leadership teams, school teams, and teachers who are focused on project-based learning, building adult culture, and aligning district structures to learning outcomes across their system.
Years Two and Three
The second and third years of implementation are where schools find their footing after two years of upheaval. NTN still leads events and coaching to accelerate the progress of the school and focuses on the on-going process of leadership development and training.
Continuation
Continuation provides schools and districts an avenue to receive New Tech Network (NTN) services at a lighter touch than implementation. Continuation supports each school’s individual growth and keeps it plugged into our Network’s innovations and most current thinking around leadership and PBL design. Through Community, the core Continuation service, NTN provides an environment that allows for regular structured dialogue between your team and NTN school development coach that is both efficient and cost-effective.
